Mark P. Wade holds the position of Global Practice Leader at Transperfect Life Sciences the largest Language translation company globally, where he is the resident SME for all clinical trial translation. Mr. Wade’s 20 years in Life Sciences includes International Regional Director for EMEA at Ethicon and Ethicon Endo Surgery, Johnson & Johnson companies (NYSE: JNJ). For almost ten years Mr. Wade was Global Practice Leader at another global language translation company. He is a published expert in Electronic Clinical Outcomes Assessments (eCOA) including two eBooks, Clinical Posters and numerous articles in trade journals. He has significant experience and has published in Clinical Services, Patient Recruitment and Site Selection. Mr. Wade has sat on numerous boards and committees, including ISOQoL (IAC), ISPOR (Special Interest Group for Language Translation) and DIA Endpoint Study Group. Mr. Wade is a regular Speaker and Chair at DIA (US and Europe Annual) Conferences.
John Merkel

John is US based and oversees business development efforts for TransPerfect’s E-Clinical technologies and translation solutions. He joined TransPerfect in 2017 bringing with him 2 years experience from global CROs. John brings 4 years of pharmaceutical B2B sales experience to TransPerfect’s Life Sciences team with the goal of solving clinical challenges faced by sponsors and CROs who work to execute quality clinical programs. John’s ultimate driver is to ensure investigational programs have their best chance of reaching patients in need.
